The Charred Pineapple Margarita

🍹 Happy #NationalMargaritaDay - As a throwback, may I present my go-to Margarita recipe. Yes, I realize Its a little involved to make but it also took weeks to perfect the ingredients and ratios. The Extra Añejo takes this recipe to another level by adding an extra depth of flavor from the aged Patrón offering. Its a crowd favorite every time I’ve made it (usually in batches) and hope you’ll give it a try. You won’t regret it!



ingredients:

  • 1½ oz. Patrón Extra Añejo Tequila

  • ¾ oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice

  • ¼ oz. @stgeorgespirits Green Chile Liqueur

  • ¼ oz. @tipplemansbarsyrups Burnt Sugar Simple Syrup

  • ¼ oz. Blue Agave Nectar

  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

  • 5 Drops Habanero Bitters

  • 2 Fresh Cucumber Slices

  • 1 Large Pinch of Smoked Salt

  • Charred Pineapple Wedge (Garnish)

  • Dehydrated Lime Wheel (Garnish)

instructions:

Combine all ingredients except the garnishes in a shaking tin with ice. Shake vigorously and double strain into a a rocks glass (or pineapple glass, in this case) with crushed ice. Garnish with a sprinkle of more smoked salt, a charred pineapple wedge, a lime wheel and pineapple leaves. Serve and enjoy!
