Top Shelf Señorita

It’s back... I’m honored to present this new series for the week of Cinco de Mayo!

Continuing the theme, where we have our local F&B friends show YOU how to make easy/approachable cocktails at home. Today, I’m excited to feature Amanda Phelps of Charleston, SC with a delicious and easy-to-make margarita riff! Its hot, sweet, salty and sour - what else would you want in a drink? According to Amanda, “it’s perfect for sipping on your porch enjoying tacos and cheese dip!” cheers y’all!



ingredients:

  • 1½ oz Silver Tequila

  • ½ oz Agave Nectar

  • ½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice

  • ¼ Jalapeño Hot Sauce

  • Salt/Red Pepper Rim

  • Lemon Wheel (Garnish)

instructions:

Combine all ingredients except garnish in a shaking tin with ice. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Pour and strain over rocks glass rimmed with salt/red pepper. Top with more hot sauce (if desired). Garnish with dehydrated lemon wheel. Serve and enjoy!
