This October I'm pouring something a little haunted. The Green Ghost is bright, herbal, and eerily green, built on Citadelle Original Gin and the botanical power of Green Chartreuse. A quick absinthe rinse, flamed in the glass, adds a wisp of smoke that makes it made for the season. Shaken hard with fresh lime and served up. Cheers, y'all!
ingredients:
2 oz | 60 ml Citadelle Original Gin
¾ oz | 22.5 ml Green Chartreuse
¾ oz | 22.5 ml Fresh Lime Juice
Absinthe Rinse
Lime Twist Garnish
instructions:
Pour a small amount of absinthe into a chilled coupe, swirl to coat, and carefully ignite. Let it burn for a few seconds, then extinguish and pour out any excess. Combine gin, Green Chartreuse, and fresh lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until well chilled. Double-strain into the prepared coupe. Express a lime twist over the surface and use as garnish.
