The Penicillin

The cure for all your ailments… The Penicillin (cocktail, that is)

More often than not I get asked about how to use scotch in a cocktail, well… I’m here to show you one of the classics. Feel free to use a blended scotch for this but single malt is just so tasty. Cheers y’all.

ingredients:

  • 2 oz | 60 ml Single Malt Scotch

  • ¾ oz | 22.5 ml Lemon Juice

  • ¾ oz | 22.5 ml Ginger Honey Syrup

  • ¼ oz | 7.5 ml Islay Scotch (Atomized)

  • Candied Ginger (Garnish)

instructions:

Add all ingredients to a shaking tin (except garnish). Add ice, shake and strain over a large cube in a rocks glass. Float or atomize an Islay Scotch on top (I used Laphroaig)) and garnish with candied ginger.
