Up the Chimney

🎅🏻🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS! I’ve been wanting to smoke a Holiday themed cocktail for a while now and I think I found the perfect vessel for it. I saw this at target and immediately thought it was for smoking my cocktails… is that weird? Anyone know what this is really for? …either way it doesn’t matter because this drink ended up being delicious.



 

ingredients:

  • .75 oz Smoked Maple

  • 1 oz Rye Whiskey

  • (or an Islay Scotch)

  • .25 oz Spiced Demerara Simple

  • .5 oz Apple Jack

  • .5 oz Sweet Vermouth

  • 4 drops Orange Bitters

  • Candied Ginger

instructions:

Rinse a glass (I used a cognac snifter) with a smokey Islay scotch - drink the excess (or dump it, you wuss). Combine bourbons, simple, Apple Jack, sweet vermouth and bitters in a mixing glass. Stir and strain over a large ice cube. Place into a smoking vessel and use the @polyscience smoking gun with apple wood for 15 seconds. Garnish with candied ginger. Serve and enjoy.
