La Vie en Rose
Its never too early to start looking for a Father’s Day cocktail recipe for the weekend. I’m excited to create a unique cocktail to complement the flavors from their Four Roses Small Batch offering. I figured I’d take seasonality into account and utilize fresh strawberries to match the rich, ripened berry notes from the Small Batch bourbon. This is a delicious and easy-drinking recipes perfect for any occasion. Cheers!
ingredients:
2 oz | 60 ml Bourbon
¼ oz | 7.5 ml Creme de Cacao
½ oz | 15 ml Strawberry Infused Sweet Vermouth
5 Drops Smoked Saline
Smoked Dried Rose (optional)
instructions:
Combine all ingredients except rose and strawberry in a mixing glass with ice. Smoke your glassware (I used a cognac snifter) with a dried rose. Stir, strain and pour the cocktail over a large ice cube. Serve and enjoy!

Style is personal. So why should your cocktail try to copy somebody else’s?
I teamed up with my friends at Ralph Lauren Fragrances to build a cocktail around their Ralph’s Club New York Parfum, and the fragrance did most of the talking. Black currant, cognac, oud wood. That’s basically a drink order.
So we built a Manhattan style sipper with cognac as the base, swapped the sweet vermouth for creme de cassis and a touch of dry vermouth, added a barspoon of absinthe and a few dashes of bitters, then finished it with an expressed lemon twist for brightness. Given the NY roots on this bottle, I’m calling it The State of Mind.
Cheers, y’all!
