Here’s another twist on an Amaro cocktail from btparsons book, “Amaro” named the ‘Toronto’ — I’ll admit I’m not the most avid fan of Canadian whiskies, but you’ll be surprised what a touch of black walnut bitters, Fernet and demerara will do a cocktail.

ingredients:

• 2 oz Whisky

• 1/4 oz.

• 1/4 oz. Demerara Simple

• 2 Dashes Black Walnut Bitters

• 1 barspoon of

• Maraschino Liqueur

• Orange peel (for garnish)

tools:

• Mixing Glass

• Jigger (Japanese Style)

• Barspoon

• Julep Strainer

• Glassware

• Other Tools

• Complete Bartending Set

instructions:

In a mixing glass, add ice and all ingredients except the the orange peel. Stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled rocks glass over a single ice cube. Garnish with an expressed orange twist.
