Muerto Por Fuego

Kick off the weekend with a mezcal recipe to celebrate the dead.

I’ve teamed up with my friends at casadonramon to create a cocktail recipe fitting to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos and here it is. Hints of spice and tropical fruit balance well with the subtle smokiness of this mezcal to provide a refreshing cocktail with a spicy kick. Salud!



ingredients:

  • 1½ oz | 45 ml Mezcal

  • 1 oz | 30 ml Passionfruit Liqueur

  • ¾ oz | 22.5 ml Orgeat

  • 1 oz | 30 ml Lime Juice

  • 4 Dashes Habanero Bitters

  • Chili-Lime Seasoning (Optional Rim)

  • Chili Threads (Garnish)

  • Dehydrated Lime Wheel (Garnish)

 

instructions:

Combine mezcal, passionfruit, orgeat, lime and bitters in a shaking tin with ice. Shake and double strain into a Tajin-rimmed Collins glass with crushed ice. Garnish with a lime wheel + chili threads.
