The Orange Carajillo

A little pick-me-up.

Just sharing a slight variation on a cocktail I had in MX. We drank these almost every night we were there and was just amazed that it only contained two ingredients. Its simple but had a lot of complex flavors so I figured I’d add a bit a little more to it to jazz it up. Here’s my take on a classic Carajillo, cheers y’all.

ingredients:

  • 1½ oz | 45 ml Espresso

  • 1½ oz | 45 ml Licor 43

  • Grated Nutmeg

  • Orange Twist (Zest only)

instructions:

Combine all wet ingredients in a shaking tin with ice. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Pour and strain over rocks glass filled with a large cube of ice. Express orange twist, top with grated nutmeg.
