What a day! It was an honor to be a judge for the @bombaysapphireus’s Most Inventive Bartender competition today at @dapschs. Some of the most creative mixologists in the southeast were in Charleston, showcasing some of the most unique cocktails I’ve ever seen. I’ll be posting some of these cocktails over the next few days. First up, Charleston’s own @schenzelwashington with his Forrest Gump inspired cocktail with a bit of peas and carrots.

HandcraftAfterDark | Episode 3: White Venetian
I’m a sucker for a Negroni with a couple dashes of saline but have you ever tried it with olive brine? Its a match made in heaven.
Here’s the third episode of Handcraft After Dark. In this series, I’ll feature some of my favorite night caps and maybe even some recipes that YOU recommend. Here’s the catch: they always have to be stirred and must contain 4 or less ingredients (not including the garnish).
This video series will be no-frills, quick, easy, and straightforward recipes that you can make in less than 5 minutes. Have a favorite recipe that fits the description above? Let me know in the comments section.
A summer Negroni? This is the Enzoni 🍇
This cocktail was created in the early 2000s and way ahead of its time. Back in those days I was crushing Keystone Lights and Kentucky Gentleman + Diet Cokes… because college. This cocktail is so far removed from that, I think it would be like if a Negroni was a summer drink, this would be the recipe. Make sure to give this one a try, it’s fruity, sweet, bitter and sour. So, so good.
Cheers y’all.
It’s a cold one tonight, get ready for Toddy szn with this easy recipe.
Together with bladeandbowwhiskey, I’ve created an easy, delicious take on a hot toddy. It combines the warming flavors of bourbon, ginger, honey and lemon and adds some fall spices to the mix - making for a drink that’s sure to warm you up tonight.
Ever been on Cloud 9? If not, this will take you there. This recipe was created by my talented friend Darren Fallon, based in Asheville, NC.

With Labor Day coming up, it also means the end of summer is just around the corner, to create a recipe fitting for such an occasion. This one is a simple/fruit-forward cocktail that is easily batched and will leave you (and your guests) wanting more. Cheers y’all!
This late 1800’s classic combines a traditional whiskey sour but adds a red wine floater. It’s as beautiful as it is delicious and its a great gateway to wine drinkers who “hate” bourbon. Give this one a shot!
