Shift Drink Negroni
For Negroni Week 2025, Charleston’s own Kris Wheeler delivers a bold and bartender-insider riff. The Shift Drink Negroni leans boozy and bitter, with navy strength gin, funky Jamaican rum, fat-washed Campari, and a dual hit of vermouth. It’s layered, rich, and full of industry in-jokes — a true “bartender’s Negroni.”
“This is my bartender centric version of a Negroni. This one comes from straight behind the bar,
Cheers, y’all!
Fresa Congelada
#ad21+ Frozen strawberry + jalapeno margaritas should be on the menu this #CincoDeMayo
Together with my friends at tequilamicampo, I recreated one of my favorite drinks I had a few weeks ago but added a little kick to it. For this frozen margarita, mix everything up and add a few dashes of jalapeño hot sauce and you’ve got something magical. Tequila Mi Campo Blanco adds a layer of citrus and rich tropical notes derived from resting in French oak barrels to this already incredible cocktail that you should definitely make for Cinco de Mayo.
Check out the link in the bio to find a bottle for yourself!
Cheers y’all

2-INGREDIENT COCKTAIL REVIEW | EP. 2 | FERRARI🏎️
A while back I made the M+M (Monte + Mezcal) and asked y’all what your favorite 2 ingredient drinks are and y’all delivered. This first one had me a little skeptical but this one seemed like they shouldn’t ever belong together, check out my review above.
Llet me know what I should make next!
Banana Nut Negroni
Why is this the most important ingredient in a cocktail? #ad21+
You guys know how much of an ice nerd I am (hello #cleariceweek), so together with my friends over at luxieusa we’re going to show you how to elevate your cocktail game by simply using a clear ice sphere. Believe it or not, ice is arguably one of the most important ingredients in a cocktail, so what’s the big deal about clear ice?
Rabbit out of the Hat
Well’p, if y’all have been following along, you know that two of my favorite things are a stiff Boulevardier and coming up with twists on a classic. This one is no different, the herbal notes of Chartreuse with the addition of grapefruit bitters takes the place of Campari in a funky yet delicious variation. Give it a shot.
Louisville is for Makers (Smoked Salt Boulevardier)
Did you know there are only three places in the US where you can try my cocktails at actual bar? Two of them are in Charleston but one is actually at claytonandcrume’s speakeasy in Louisville, KY. Last year I had the opportunity to help craft the menu for their inaugural opening right before the Kentucky Derby. This was one of those recipes.
It’s an easy one and one of my go-to cocktails to make at home.
Negroni Sbagliato
The Negroni Sbagliato - now there’s a drink fit for a 🐉 Queen…
What can I say, this cocktail is having its moment in the sun thanks to the @livkatecooke (Alicent Hightower) and emmaziadarcy (Rhaenyra Targaryen) interview for @hbomax and @gameofthrones.
This drink may be going ‘viral’ at the moment but this recipe has been around since 1972 and was created at Bar Basso in Milan by Mirko Stocchetto. I’m not mad about it though, I always said this was my go-to brunch drink and I’d take it over any mimosa any day of the week. Cheers y’all!
Coffee Infused Kingston Negroni
Coffee + Jamaican Rum + #NegroniWeek seems like a winning combo, right?
I’ve been wanting to use this pour over stand from Farmhouse Pottery for a cocktail and just haven’t found the right occasion for it…. UNTIL NOW. If you haven’t had the combo of coffee + Campari, it's a match made in heaven so you gotta try this one out.
#ProTip : if you find this a little too bitter for your taste, add a pinch of salt and thank me later! Cheers y’all.
Don Ramonaldi
I created an easy spring cocktail utilizing Mezcal Don Ramón and fresh satsuma orange juice. Combined with the tartness of lemon, sweetness of honey and bitterness of Campari to compliment the smokey, but fruit-forward mezcal. Cheers y’all
