Season’s Greetings
#ad21+ Listen, if you're planning on giving someone a bottle of bourbon this season, you need to save this recipe.
Together with my friends at @BasilHayden, we're going to make a festive bourbon cocktail called Season's Greetings, which would make for perfect recipe to go along with your gift. The spice notes in the amaro and the pear liqueur in this cocktail play perfectly with the baking spice notes in #BasilHayden and I guarantee you'll be making this one all holiday season.
Comment "PEAR" and I'll send you this recipe in the form of a recipe card that you can save, print out to include with your gift or send to a friend. Whether you're gifting or shopping bourbon this season, make sure to keep a look out for Basil Hayden -- its #TheOneWithTheBelt #BasilHaydenPartner
Cheers y'all.
Mint Chocolate Oaxaca Old Fashioned
Make this one immediately 🍃🍫🥃
#ad I’m excited to partner with donjuliotequila to put a twist on one of my favorite classic cocktails. During the holidays, mint chocolates were always one of those little things I looked forward to — that mix of cool mint and rich chocolate just hits different this time of year. This cocktail leans into those flavors, but with a grown-up twist.
DonJulioTequila Reposado is made with 100% blue weber agave and aged longer than industry standards, so it brings warm vanilla, soft caramel, and a smooth oakiness that rounds out the mint and chocolate without overpowering them. And if you choose to mist mezcal on top, it adds a subtle smoky layer that makes the whole drink feel richer, deeper, and more complex.
It’s minty, chocolatey, spirit-forward, and surprisingly balanced.
If you want the full recipe card sent straight to your DMs, comment MINT below.
Cheers, y’all!

Cobble Hill
From the creator of the Paper Plane comes…
You may know samueljoelross as the founder the the modern classic, Paper Plane (equal parts: rye, lemon, nonino, and aperol). But if you dont live in NY, you probably haven’t tried his other cocktails, specifically this one. The Cobble Hill is a lighter, more refreshing Manhattan that may be your new pre-dinner cocktail.
Jaffa Kick
Have you ever had a Jaffa Cake?
It’s no secret that orange and chocolate go really well together so when I saw this recipe in nicholas.hamilton’s newly released book, “Sipsy Doozy.” I knew I had to try it. Just happened to be great timing with it being #WorldCocktailDay and all. I’m happy to report that it’s as delicious as it sounds. Huge congrats to Nick for his new book, you can grab it over on his page/bio!
Cheers y’all.
Excerpt from the book and origin story of the cocktail:
“This spicy chocolate orange in liquid form tickles the throat as it soothes the tongue with cocoa-coated citrus. This concoction was invented by my followers and me on a TikTok livestream, a result of brainstorming drink ideas with the viewers in the comments. Once the drink was made, a clever commenter said it must taste like a Jaffa Cake, a popular orange-chocolate biscuit (cookie) from England.
Deciding that that name didnt fully encapsulate the spiciness and savoriness of the cocktail, it was renamed the Jaffa Kick.”
The Vaporetto
This Venetian twist on a Bicicletta - The Vaporetto 🚤
It’s #spritzszn so today we’re making some with my friends at bonterra. Unlike a Bicicletta, this one will use a base of Bonterra’s Rosé, which uses 100% certified organic grapes that give this wine a dry, crisp but fruity palate with an acidic finish. The addition of Cappelletti enhances the grapefruit notes in this wine and is accentuated by the hint of Meyer lemon in the soda water.
It’s light, refreshing and very crushable.
Cheers y’all!
Vanderhorst
Feeling inspired after reading up on some Amari via btparsons book entitled "Amaro". Check out the recipe below for a rich, yet complex cocktail for any occasion.
Garden Gnome
A Negroni for people who have had too many Negronis…”
You heard the man! Up next on Charleston’s tour of #NegroniWeek with campari south carolina is my buddy Kyle Degolyer (cousinkyled) at barmashchs with his vegetal take on a classic.
This recipe combines the smokiness of mezcal and combines them with the vegetal flavor profiles of bell pepper, Ancho Reyes and celery bitters.
Don’t forget you can grab this cocktail this week! Cheers y’all!
“A lighter rendition of the classic, the Alive and Well is more of an “orange” Negroni. aromatic, floral, herbaceous, and slightly fruity backed with Campari’s signature bitterness; it’s a fun, late-summer sipper.”
Don’t forget you can grab this cocktail at @beautiful_south__ this week! Cheers y’all!
Plus Que Parfait Julep
🐎🥃 Happy Derby Day! Between Mint Juleps and Margaritas this weekend, you’re going to want a little taste of the South in your mouth. Today we julep… tomorrow we tequila. In the meantime - enjoy this Julep recipe for today’s festivities!
The Commercial Break
Still don’t know what to bring to that #SuperBowl Party? What about a bourbon cocktail? 🥃👌🏾
The JÄgerita
Finally revisiting Jäger… in Margarita form!
Happy #NationalMargaritaDay, figured this would be a good time as any to make the Jägerita since its been making the rounds on the interwebs. Tbh, I didn’t think I was going to like this cocktail but it totally works when you treat jagermeisterusa for what it is… an amaro/digestivo. What we made here is essentially an Amaro Sour, and a damn good one at that. Make it.
Cheers y’all.
LowCountry Spritz
Found some inspiration in right place. Check out "SPRITZ" by taliabaiocchi of punchdrink and lesliepariseau of saveurmag for some great Italian food and spritz recipes. Cheers to the long weekend! 🍹🙌🏾
The Crosby
Here’s another twist on an Amaro cocktail from btparsons book, “Amaro” named the ‘Toronto’ — I’ll admit I’m not the most avid fan of Canadian whiskies, but you’ll be surprised what a touch of black walnut bitters, Fernet and demerara will do a cocktail.
The Black Sea
New recipe, who dis?
This might be one of the best original cocktails recipes I’ve made in a while. It’s perfectly balanced. While the cocktail itself can hold its own, you’ll want to make that foam for that extra layer of flavor and texture. Trust me, it’s worth it!
The Bee Cause
You know I love a good collaboration - especially when it involves saving the bees. The savannahbeeco recently partnered up with dixievodka to produce “Dixie Wildflower Honey Vodka” using SBC’s wildflower honey. They’ve challenged me to come up with a recipe to incorporate this new product and to celebrate the launch of the new product in Charleston!
.
A portion of the proceeds for each bottle sold will benefit The Bee Cause Project which works to support the health of honeybees in the Southeast by increasing the number of hives in the region and helping to educate the public on their importance. Now get out there and support the cause!
.
Monte + Mezcal (aka "The M&M)
Another two ingredient cocktail? Yes plz.
The "M and M" cocktail is a unique blend of Amaro Montenegro and Mezcal, creating a balanced and complex flavor profile. The bittersweet notes of the Amaro Montenegro combine harmoniously with the smoky undertones of the Mezcal, resulting in a drink that appeals to both Amaro and Mezcal enthusiasts alike. This cocktail is a perfect choice for those looking to explore new and exciting flavor combinations in their drinks.
Mint Chocolate Julep
Looking for a low-ABV cocktail this January? I’ve got you covered.
Together with angosturahouse, we’ve created the perfect low-proof julep riff using their newest member of the bitters’ family: ANGOSTURA® cocoa bitters. This recipe combines the traditional pairing of mint + chocolate to make for an easy-to-sip, simple cocktail that you can enjoy during #DryJanuary and beyond.
Mulled Cider Old Fashioned
You know when you create a recipe and you know it’s going to be a staple during the holidays? Yeah… this is it. I’ve melded the flavors of a traditional mulled cider together with a classic Old Fashioned. The result is a bourbon forward holiday sipper that you’ll want to keep sipping throughout the rest of the holiday season. You’re going to want to try this one out for sure, cheers y’all
Wintered Amaro Sour
Let’s keep those seasonal cocktails going, shall we?
Together with amarolucano1894, I’ve created a recipe thats sure to warm you right up in the coldest of nights. The recipe combines bourbon, cinnamon syrup, lemon juice and the bold flavors in Amaro Lucano to create a wonderfully balanced flavor that is softened by an egg white (or aquafaba) foam. This one was a treat to make and drink and hope you’ll do the same. Cheers y’all.
Mardi Daiquiri
Hope everyone had a happy and safe thanksgiving weekend! Here’s a recipe to help you get back to the grind this week.
Luck of the Grasshopper
What better combo than an Irish Whiskey with notes of light notes of oak, vanilla and caramel to pair with coffee, chocolate and mint for my take on a traditional Grasshopper cocktail. I really enjoyed making this one and hope y’all try it out!
