BANANA NUT NEGRONI
Take a Negroni template and add banana liqueur and black walnut bitters. The Amontillado Sherry brings almond-forward richness, Campari stays bitter, and gin keeps it structured. Bruleed banana on top is the proof this works.
ingredients:
1½ oz | 45 ml Gin
¾ oz | 22.5 ml Campari
½ oz | 15 ml Banana Liqueur
¾ oz | 22.5 ml Amontillado Sherry
5 Dashes Black Walnut Bitters
Bruleed Banana
insTRUCTIONS:
Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice, stir, pour over clear ice sphere in a rocks glass and garnish with a brulee banana slice.
SUNDAY SCARIES
American whiskey, Campari, banana liqueur, and an absinthe rinse. Smoked salt on a bruleed salted banana takes this from clever to essential. It’s savory, smoky, and dangerously good.
ingredients:
1½ oz | 45 ml American Whiskey
¾ oz | 22.5 ml Campari
½ oz | 15 ml Banana Liqueur
Absinthe Rinse
1 Pinch Smoked Salt
Brûlée’d Salted Banana Garnish
insTRUCTIONS:
Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice, stir, pour over clear ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a salted/caramelized banana.
BANANA-CUE OLD FASHIONED
Banana-cue oleo brings something you’ve never seen in a cocktail before. Rum, banana liqueur, Angostura bitters, saline for salinity. Garnished with a hot banana-cue and banana leaf. This is textural and unexpected.
ingredients:
2 oz | 60 ml Tanduay Rum
½ oz | 15 ml Banana-cue Oleo
½ oz | 15 ml Banana Liqueur
5 Dashes Angostura Bitters
5 Drops Saline Banana Leaf (Garnish)
Banana-Cue (Garnish)
instructions:
Combine all ingredients in mixing glass and stir with ice. Pour and strain in a rocks glass over a large cube. Garnish with a hot banana-cue and banana leaf.
TIKI OLD FASHIONED
The Tiki Old Fashioned bridges traditional and tropical. Rum base, Stiggins pineapple, Banane du Bresil, and that tiki 500 bitters add complexity. It’s herbaceous, fruity, and designed for sipping, not rushing.
ingredients:
1 oz | 30 ml Rum
1 oz | 30 ml Vaval
½ oz | 15 ml Stiggins Pineapple
½ oz | 15 ml Banane du Bresil
3 Dashes Orange Bitters
3 Drops Tiki 500
instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir, strain and pour the cocktail over a large ice cube. Garnish with a slice of orange + pineapple frond (optional).
BRÛLÉED BANANA BOULEVARDIER
This is what happens when you upgrade a Boulevardier with banana. 100 proof bourbon brings backbone, Campari stays sharp, and banana liqueur with Amontillado Sherry creates caramelized sweetness. The bruleed garnish finishes it.
ingredients:
1½ oz | 45 ml 100 Proof Bourbon
¾ oz | 22.5 ml Campari
½ oz | 15 ml Banana Liqueur
¾ oz | 22.5 ml Amontillado Sherry
Brûlée’d Banana Garnish
inSTRUCTIONS:
Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice, stir, pour over clear ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a caramelized banana.
TIPPERARY INSANITY
Irish whisky meets Crème de Banane in this one. White pepper bitters bring sharpness, yellow Chartreuse adds herbal depth, and a bruleed banana garnish ties it all together. This is a sophisticated spin on a classic that actually works.
