The Adonis
Is this the perfect after-dinner cocktail?
Hereās a recipe from the late 1880s that I love because there arenāt enough sherry cocktails in the world. The Adonis is equal parts Fino sherry and sweet vermouth. Itās rich, fruity and not overly heavy, all these fortified wines act like a digestivo, which makes for a perfect after-dinner cocktail.
Veruca
Pisco is such an underrated spirit. Usually produced in Peru or Chile, its distilled from fermented grapes (about 16lbs per 750ml bottle, in fact). barsolpisco in particular is produced using Torontel grapes and has floral notes of jasmine and magnolia -- perfect for this recipe!
The Green Machine
All you green-juice fans out there, this ones for you! In my #partnership with wheatleyvodka and buffalotracedistillery, I've crafted a recipe boozy spin on a traditional green juice. Its sweet, sour and earthy and you'll probably want to make more than one.
Salty Summer
IT HAPPENED! Iām so stoked announce my very first canned cocktail collaboration with my good buddies over at dapschs! For the first time ever, youāll be able to physically take home a cocktail pictured here. Dubbed āSALTY SUMMERā - This cocktail is a hybrid between a Spritz, Gose, Negroni Sbagliato and a Salty Dog (ingredients below) and contains TWO servings per can. Its got a grapefruit-y spritz element with a touch of local sea salt that is perfect for a hot summer day under the sun.
Tiny Empress Negroni
Just remember to pace yourself with this one š
Howās everyoneās #DryJanuary going? Or are yall still #TeamTinyCocktails?
Which tiny cocktail should I do next? šø
White Venetian
HandcraftAfterDark | Episode 3: White Venetian
Iām a sucker for a Negroni with a couple dashes of saline but have you ever tried it with olive brine? Its a match made in heaven.
Hereās the third episode of Handcraft After Dark. In this series, Iāll feature some of my favorite night caps and maybe even some recipes that YOU recommend. Hereās the catch: they always have to be stirred and must contain 4 or less ingredients (not including the garnish).
This video series will be no-frills, quick, easy, and straightforward recipes that you can make in less than 5 minutes. Have a favorite recipe that fits the description above? Let me know in the comments section.
Jumbo Manhattan [Batched]
We found the perfect cocktail to kick off the weekend.
Charleston-based photographer and mixologist Miguel Buencamino of Holy City Handcraft (holycityhandcraft) whipped up a jumbo Manhattan cocktail, complete with a giant ācherry,ā at the gardenandgun offices. The recipe below provides 20-25 servings of this classic cocktail and can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge or freezer. Cheers and happy Friday! š„
Please note: This is a great way to enjoy a batched cocktail to share with friends, but we donāt recommend consuming alone.
Negroni Sbagliato
The Negroni Sbagliato - now thereās a drink fit for a š Queenā¦
What can I say, this cocktail is having its moment in the sun thanks to the livkatecooke (Alicent Hightower) and emmaziadarcy (Rhaenyra Targaryen) interview for hbomax and gameofthrones.
This drink may be going āviralā at the moment but this recipe has been around since 1972 and was created at Bar Basso in Milan by Mirko Stocchetto. Iām not mad about it though, I always said this was my go-to brunch drink and Iād take it over any mimosa any day of the week. Cheers yāall!
Bianco Negroni
When your Negroni is as clear as the ice š„¶š§
Happy Wednesday yāall! Here is that #BiancoNegroni created with Luxardoās Bitter Bianco. If youāve never had it, its has notes of bitter citrus and a bright/fruity finish. Itās the perfect accompaniment to a London dry gin like juniperogin. Hope yāall enjoy this recipe as much as I did. Cheers yāall!
Espresso Manhattan
If you love espressos + whiskey, this one is for you.
Yāall know alllll about the Espresso Martini, well what if we combined that with one of the classics in a rye Manhattan, well this is that cocktail and with the addition of salted caramel syrup. this one is absolutely delicious.
Smoked Apple Manhattan
Apple wood finished rye + apple wood smoked, whoās in? ššØ
Just some #BTS comments: I challenged myself to shoot this all in one take while the camera was on a motorized slider, needless to say, I made a lot of Manhattans to make this video perfect haha hope yāall enjoy!
Tollhouse Manhattan
Chocolate cookie + single malt whiskey? Yup, Iāve got you covered.
Together with stranahans, Iāve created a seasonal recipe made with their new Blue Peak American Single Malt Whiskey. This Manhattan riff features all the flavors of this single malt, paired with a biscotti cookie and cocoa bitters, making for an easy and well balanced sipper. Cheers yāall!
Voltaire
Clear as cristalino š I created a cocktail for the ever gracious host, as clear and refreshing as Tequila Don Ramón Cristalino Platinium AƱejo. I used ingredients such as vanilla and lavender to enhance and complement the subtle notes of nuts and vanilla of this particular AƱejo. With a touch of lemon to add a bit more brightness, this well-rounded cocktail truly sets the bar, at home.
If youāre unfamiliar with the cristalino process, allow me to clarify (ha, get it?) - After maturation in oak, a complex filtration process removes the liquidās amber color and piquancy. This results in a ridiculously smooth taste and long finish calling for easy sipping and/or amazing cocktails.
A Noble Hospitality
This cocktail, A Noble Hospitality, won a cocktail competition to become Charleston Wine + Foodās signature cocktail back in 2017. It was created by my friend Morgan Hurley of Mex1 and has all the elements I love in a great balanced cocktail and flavor profiles of smoke, bitter, fruity and sweet. You will want to make this one ASAP!
