Up the Chimney
🎅🏻🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS! I’ve been wanting to smoke a Holiday themed cocktail for a while now and I think I found the perfect vessel for it. I saw this at target and immediately thought it was for smoking my cocktails… is that weird? Anyone know what this is really for? …either way it doesn’t matter because this drink ended up being delicious.

The Laddie Rob Roy
…and a partridge in a pear tree.
Happy holiday season y’all. Together with my friends at bruichladdich I’ve created a take on the classic Rob Roy. This takes The Classic Laddie, an unpeated scotch whisky, and combines it with the flavors of spiced pear and walnut to create a cocktail that is easy, delicious, and beautiful. Anyone can make this recipe, so make sure to give the gift of The Classic Laddie this holiday season by heading to the link in my bio!

The Rock Hopper
An espresso martini crossed with a mint chocolate Irish coffee? Sure, I got you
’Tis the season after all, I’ve come up with the perfect recipe to go along with this bottle of Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Whiskey. This single grain, Irish whiskey is first aged in oak then finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
Mare-ly Perfect Ride
Mare-ly Perfect Ride by Caroline Woodruff
This idea comes from a Paddock, which is an area for horses to graze in after a big day. I wanted to really show off saddled leather and grassy notes from a split of dry vermouth for my take on a Boulevardier. It’s easily one of my favorite cocktails to have many adaptations of, this one is a bit lighter, while the bitters let it run in a different strong direction.
Buck and Cover
A smokey and refreshing festive cocktail? Sure, why not?
I’ve created a cocktail thats sure to warm you up and cool you down at the same time. This takes The Classic Laddie, an unpeated, scotch whisky, combined with the flavors of rosemary and allspice with an aroma of smokey rosemary to create a cocktail that is as refreshing as it is smokey. Anyone can make this recipe, so make sure to give the gift of The Classic Laddie this holiday season by heading to the link in my bio!
The Ambrose
Its no secret I love experimenting with new ingredients to create unique and original cocktails. I feel as though with the resurgence of the craft cocktail scene, cocktail syrups have been all the rage lately. I met Max Messier during @bevconchs in Charleston this past month, and thats when he introduced me to the @cocktailandsons Spiced Demerara Syrup. He explained it contained flavors such as baking spices, coriander and peppercorns, combined with 100% Louisiana cane sugar. needless to say, I had to take this bottle home, this was one of two of my creations…
Ahumado Old Fashioned
Give me an Old Fashioned, but make it with a smoky tequila 🥃
I’m excited to introduce y’all to the newest offering from - Patrón Ahumado - and make a classic Old Fashioned with it. #patronahumado is made in small batches using a low and slow roasting technique of the piñas underground with mesquite for at least seven days. Agave is then crushed using the unique 100% tahona wheel distillation process. The reposado tastes sweet, smoky, and oaky with notes of black pepper and hints of vanilla and caramel — it takes a classic Old Fashioned to a new level but can also just be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. If you’re a fan of smoked spirits, you need to get your hands on this bottle ASAP.
Cheers y’all.
Smoke on the Harbor
A twist on a classic Dacquiri from darling oyster bar. Smokey, sweet, sour and as smooth as can be.
Monina
🥃🔥 Looking for another why to smoke cocktails? Look no further than The Char Board from Whiskeywood. They recently sent this over to me to try out and I’m blown away at its portability, effectiveness and especially that depth of smokey flavor it gives to your cocktail. The three ‘flavors’ of wood include: ‘Apple Orchard’, ‘Peanut Butter and Chocolate’ and my favorite so far, ‘Grandma’s Cookies’ — that being said, this cocktail is named after my grandmother, Mona. I think you can guess which smoke stick I picked.
The Choke and Smoke
Ok, so I’ll admit I was a big btparsons fan before, but I had the honor of taking his Amaro class at BenConCHS and was completely blown away. Luckily, Charleston, SC was a stop on his ‘Amaro’ book tour and I had the opportunity to pick his brain (again) at @edmundsoast while he was in town. He was knowledgeable, down-to-earth and one of the coolest authors I’ve had the honor of meeting. This cocktail recipe is a from his book ‘Amaro’ — definitely worth the pickup, even if its not personally signed like my copy 😉
Islay Have Another
Did someone say #happyfallyall?
In partnership with @laphroaig - Here's a simple recipe for those of you looking for a fall cocktail that's perfect for any occasion. It brings the traditional fall spices and combines them with a mix of a caramel apple and banana bread. Laphroaig is the star of the show here, the flavors pair perfectly with the smoky, peaty flavor of this famous Islay Scotch whisky
Smoked Salt Negroni
Just a friendly reminder that if you’re not out there enjoying #NegroniWeek - you should be making one at home. I’ve #partnered up with @sutlersspiritco to create a simple but unique twist on the classic. If you’ve never tried a pinch of high quality salt in your Negroni, try it out, it balances out a touch of the bitterness and brings out the intricate flavors of campariusa. Check out the recipe below for the video above. Cheers!
Apple Wood Smoked Demerara Syrup
Want to take your Old Fashioned to the next level? Why not elevate your traditional sugar cubes to a an applewood smoked demerara simple syrup. Not only does the demerara provide more of a caramel-like flavor than the traditional refined white sugar cubes, the apple wood brings a fruity smokiness to the party. Make this and you’ll never use sugar cubes in your Old Fashioned again.
Home on the Range
Hey you, lets unwind a bit, shall we?

So close your eyes for a sec and imagine a scene under the starry night sky, fire roaring, surrounded by your closest friends with a cocktail in hand… this is THAT cocktail. After all, High West is more about the spirit itself & giving a taste of the west -- exploration & adventure
