The Adonis
Is this the perfect after-dinner cocktail?
Hereâs a recipe from the late 1880s that I love because there arenât enough sherry cocktails in the world. The Adonis is equal parts Fino sherry and sweet vermouth. Itâs rich, fruity and not overly heavy, all these fortified wines act like a digestivo, which makes for a perfect after-dinner cocktail.
Maple New York Sours
Movie night with the fam. Homemade Maple New York Sours seemed appropriate.
Shark Attack
Itâs my favorite time of the year: #SharkWeek đŠ
Well⊠between that and @tales - Iâm here in New Orleans for the week just a couple blocks away from where the original cocktail originated, The Tropical Isle (@thetropicalisle). After a 2 year hiatus, #TOTC2022 is back in full force! Iâm excited to get out there and see my industry peeps and use this time as a way to learn and network. If youâre here in NOLA this week, make sure to hit me up! Hope to run into yâall!
The Sol Sister
Who remembers what H.A.G.S. stands for? đđœââïž Today is the #SummerSolstice and marks the first day of summer folks! Letâs kick off the weekend with another new [and refreshing] recipe. #HAGS
Veruca
Pisco is such an underrated spirit. Usually produced in Peru or Chile, its distilled from fermented grapes (about 16lbs per 750ml bottle, in fact). barsolpisco in particular is produced using Torontel grapes and has floral notes of jasmine and magnolia -- perfect for this recipe!
The Choke and Smoke
Ok, so Iâll admit I was a big btparsons fan before, but I had the honor of taking his Amaro class at BenConCHS and was completely blown away. Luckily, Charleston, SC was a stop on his âAmaroâ book tour and I had the opportunity to pick his brain (again) at edmundsoast while he was in town. He was knowledgeable, down-to-earth and one of the coolest authors Iâve had the honor of meeting. This cocktail recipe is a from his book âAmaroâ â definitely worth the pickup, even if its not personally signed like my copy đ
Jumbo Old Fashioned
Anyone know where to get jumbo sized cherries? Asking for this jumbo-sized Old Fashioned đđ
This may or may not be an #aprilfools joke but this is a great recipe for a BATCHED Old Fashioned. Just mix the ingredients below with ice and strain into a serving vessel of your choice. If youâre serving for a later date, add 4 oz of filtered water and throw that bottle/container in the fridge or freezer until youâre ready to serve. Serve over a large ice cube and garnish with an orange twist and maraschino cherry (optional).
Disclaimer: Please drink responsibly and donât try to drink this entire thing by yourself in one sitting.
Lonestar
Weâre gearing up for Holiday Party season, are you?
This year, I wanted to create a recipe thatâs not only easy to make, but also something that you can bring to your next holiday potluck or holiday office party. The flavors involve a rich sweetness from the Pedro Ximenez-style sherry, which pairs well with the peaty notes found in Laphroaig Select. The below recipe is also easy to batch - it's perfect for any holiday parties this year!
The Sun Also Rises
Recently had a chance to check out the gorgeous thevictorsocialclub and try their Cuban-inspired cocktail menu. They also were kind enough to provide their cocktail recipe. Check out the space at Hutson Alley when you get a chance and stay tuned for more!
Banana Nut Negroni
Why is this the most important ingredient in a cocktail? #ad21+
You guys know how much of an ice nerd I am (hello #cleariceweek), so together with my friends over at luxieusa weâre going to show you how to elevate your cocktail game by simply using a clear ice sphere. Believe it or not, ice is arguably one of the most important ingredients in a cocktail, so whatâs the big deal about clear ice?
Islay Have Another
Did someone say #happyfallyall?
In partnership with laphroaig - Here's a simple recipe for those of you looking for a fall cocktail that's perfect for any occasion. It brings the traditional fall spices and combines them with a mix of a caramel apple and banana bread. Laphroaig is the star of the show here, the flavors pair perfectly with the smoky, peaty flavor of this famous Islay Scotch whisky
Doritos Nacho Cheese Margarita
Nacho. Cheese. Margarita. đł
Thanks to doritos and empiricalcph, weâre now able to add a nacho cheese flavor to any cocktail. I asked yâall what I should make with this spirit and I figured weâd start off easy with a Margarita, it just makes sense after all, right? After all, queso + margaritas, what could go wrong?
The Cooperâs Smash
Are yâall enjoying these #CocktailsAtHome recipes yet? This next cooperscraft cocktail recipe is not only easy to make but is easily batched and is extremely enjoyable and refreshing to sip on. Its perfect for sitting out on the porch on those warm spring nights.
â
Next up on the #CocktailsAtHome series with cooperscraft is Jayce McConnell (derekthedreaded) of Charleston, SC: âThe great thing about this is you can make several jars ahead of time and store in the fridge for up to a week, so if you have more fruit than you want to eat you can put it to good use!â

A portion of the proceeds for each bottle sold will benefit The Bee Cause Project which works to support the health of honeybees in the Southeast by increasing the number of hives in the region and helping to educate the public on their importance. Now get out there and support the cause!

Twelve Mile Limit
So I canât be the only one that gets lost down the rabbit hole that is youtube.
My favorite genre of videos are any of those that I can learn from. I recently was looking for some inspiration for a Repeal Day cocktail and stumbled across how2drink. If you havenât checked out Gregâs channel, you absolutely should - its educational and super entertaining.
Anyways, I made this pre-Prohibition cocktail based on his recipe and you can bet it wonât be the last one I make from his channel - Iâll post the link in my stories #videographygoals
Chartreuse Tiâ Punch
If you like daiquiris then youâll love this recipe.
Itâs the national cocktail of Martinique and Guadeloupe. âTiâ is an abbreviation for âpetiteâ (aka small) - so the cocktail name translates to âsmall punchâ. Itâs all built in the glass and as easy to drink as it is to make. Today weâre making a spin on it by adding light herbal elements via âVĂ©gĂ©tal de la Grande Chartreuseâ aka âthe elixirâ - its the purest form of the original Chartreuse out there (and actually readily available).
101 Old Fashioned
Happy Thanksgiving! Why not celebrate with a little Turkey from the OG himself, #jimmyrussell. Hereâs a quick and easy wildturkey 101 Old Fashioned to get you through the day đ
Side note: Iâm breaking in the home bar with this first photo, Iâm obsessed with the lighting in here. Itâs perfect considering this will double as a studio as well.
Smoked Salt Negroni
Just a friendly reminder that if youâre not out there enjoying #NegroniWeek - you should be making one at home. Iâve #partnered up with @sutlersspiritco to create a simple but unique twist on the classic. If youâve never tried a pinch of high quality salt in your Negroni, try it out, it balances out a touch of the bitterness and brings out the intricate flavors of campariusa. Check out the recipe below for the video above. Cheers!
The Bianco Venetian Spritz
Ooooh⊠stunninnnnnnâŠ.
If youâve never put olives in your Spritz, youâre missing out. I want to show yâall the versatility of luxardousaâs Bitter Bianco by using it in classic, aperitivo-forward cocktails such as a traditional spritz. Since the Bitter Bianco is crystal clear and free from artificial dyes/colors, it provides for a gorgeous and unique experience that you and your guests are sure to enjoy. If youâve never had a Bianco Venetian Spritz, its has notes of bitter citrus and a bright/fruity finish, try this one out!
The Firestorm
Ooooo⊠itâs #spookyszn and weâve got a doozy for you.
We created a recipe thats perfect not just for #halloween2022 but the rest of the holiday season as well. Using QMixers delicious and well-balanced ginger beer along with some black rum, this riff on a classic has a secret weapon in the homemade pumpkin spice tincture (recipe below). The cinnamon and fire bring just another complex element to this cocktail but it is entirely optional. Cheers yâall!
The Green Machine
All you green-juice fans out there, this ones for you! In my #partnership with wheatleyvodka and buffalotracedistillery, I've crafted a recipe boozy spin on a traditional green juice. Its sweet, sour and earthy and you'll probably want to make more than one.
