Smoked Maple Revolver
What would you make behind this bar?
Together with my friends at @whistlepigwhiskey, I want to share a recipe that I created during a recent stay at the #WhistlePig farm in Vermont.
One of the most incredible parts of the trip for me was the fact that we had free rein in front AND behind the bar while we were there. This meant access to all the tools, mixers, liqueurs and more importantly, every single variety of liquid that WhistlePig has ever bottled. Yes, this includes the various maple syrups from our mutual friends at @runamokmaple.
This recipe came about during our first night at the farm. As we were crushing the fresh oysters and charcuterie after a long travel day, I figured I’d make something to pep everyone up and this was the result. WhistlePig Old World Rye, Aged 12 Years has long been a favorite of mine so that’s where I started as a base. The Sauternes, Port and Madeira finish added some of those fruity notes to the coffee profile. Add some smoked maple, a pinch of sea salt and a flamed orange twist and you’ve got yourself an instant classic.
Next time you’re thinking of an espresso martini, make this instead.
Cheers y’all!
Freezer Door Maple Old Fashioned V2
Why make one when you can share twelve?
Together with my friends at @fourrosesbourbon, we’re making a cocktail to share this holiday season. Smooth, rich, and perfect for holiday hosting — this Freezer Door Maple Old Fashioned is your set-and-forget version of a classic.
Four Roses Small Batch bourbon gives you warmth and the vanilla notes, maple syrup adds seasonal sweetness, walnut bitters bring depth, and a touch of water pre-dilutes it so it pours perfectly straight from the freezer. This one is built for easy entertaining and sharing.
If you want the full recipe, comment MAPLE and I’ll send it straight to your inbox.
Cheers, y’all!
Up in Smoke Maple Sour
Puff puff, pass on the alcohol this month and try this instead…
#ad21+ Together with my friends at @the_highpour, I created a fall-inspired, zero-proof drink that is crushable and absolutely delicious. If you haven’t heard of it, HIGHPOUR is a new kind of non-alcoholic “spirit” thats infused with hemp-derived 🍃 and can be utilized the same way spirits are utilized in cocktails 1:1. For this particular recipe, I played on the smoke and autumn theme, I used a smoked maple syrup and smoked salt to accentuate the flavors in Highpour making for the perfect drink to sip this season.
Cheers y’all.
Freezer Door Maple Old Fashioned
Is it safe to assume you’ll be hosting or attending a Holiday Party this year?
Need some tips on what cocktail to make? Well how about we batch it? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. The best part about this recipe is you can make it ahead of time and that it does NOT freeze, so keep it in the fridge or freezer until your guests arrive and have them serve themselves over a large clear cube so you can enjoy the party instead of making drinks all night.
Now try this out and go be hero at the next party.
Brulee Apple Cider Collins
This recipe is sure to get you in a festive mood this season.
I created a festive take on a traditional Collins. This one combines the flavors of maple, apples, caramel and cinnamon into a cup of cheer you’ll be sure to enjoy this season. Cheers y’all!
Maple Old Fashioned
Ok, real talk - whistlepigwhiskey sent over a care package that included their barrel-aged maple syrup and figured why not take their suggestion to make it into an Old Fashioned.
.
In case you didn’t know, the Whistle Pig Farm is in Burlington, VT and they actually have maple trees onsite that they tap and harvest maple syrup from. This syrup is then aged in spent Whistle Pig Rye Barrels producing a super unique, single source maple syrup!
Maple Radler
Whoa… you feel that chill in the air? That can only mean one thing…
IT’S. FALL. Y’ALL
Combining the #ChampagneOfBeers with the flavors bourbon, maple, cinnamon and lemon to create a fall Radler that is perfect for the season. Give this recipe a try this season and let us know what you think below!
Cheers y’all!
Maple Praline Old Fashioned
Who doesn’t love Old Fashioned’s… and who doesn’t love Pralines?? Let’s combine the two, shall we?
