In an effort to showcase some of the local restaurants/bars and amazing talent here in Charleston, SC. You can find this cocktail recipe at @thequinteoysterbar or @lowlandtavern tavern right in the heart of downtown Charleston. This take on a traditional Air Mail, an OG cocktail from the 1930s.
The Calamansi Snaquiri
THE WORLDāS TINIEST DAIQUIRI š¹
ā¦lovingly nicknamed a āSnaquiriā. This was the most requested cocktail for this #TinyCocktail series so I had to oblige. This rendition is made with fresh calamansi juice which is near and dear to my heart (since I am Filipino and all). If you havenāt had calamansi, I describe it as a cross between a bitter orange, lemon and yuzu. The addition of that grapefruit oil adds more of that citrus aroma but is optional.
NOTE: Replace āPartsā with Ounces below to make a full size Daiquiri.

Its no secret I love experimenting with new ingredients to create unique and original cocktails. I feel as though with the resurgence of the craft cocktail scene, cocktail syrups have been all the rage lately. I met Max Messier during @bevconchs in Charleston this past month, and thats when he introduced me to the @cocktailandsons Spiced Demerara Syrup. He explained it contained flavors such as baking spices, coriander and peppercorns, combined with 100% Louisiana cane sugar. needless to say, I had to take this bottle home, this was one of two of my creationsā¦

Iāve teamed up with my friends at Watkins1868 to create a local twist on a classic. This cocktail utilizes their new Aromatic Bitters which has delicious hints of vanilla, tart cherries and hibiscus. Classic Mai Tai

Hereās my take on a traditional Mai Tai. To me, Wray & Nephew overproof is non-negotiable. It brings that iconic funk that Jamaican rums tend to to lend to tiki cocktails and this one is no exception.

Barrilito Old Fashioned
You really canāt beat a Rum Old Fashioned⦠especially not this one š„
Together with my friends at rondelbarrilito, weāre going to show you how to make their signature Barrilito Old Fashioned but with a [flamed] twist. The orange and chocolate bitters in this recipe in lieu of aromatic bitters really plays on the notes of vanilla and raisin in this particular 3 Star offering. If youāre not familiar with #RonDelBarrilito, it is Puerto Ricoās oldest rum and the distillery has used the same method of crafting this rum since 1880 ā with no aritificlal ingredients or coloring. Each small batch is distilled with rainwater and then aged for 6-10 years in Oloroso white oak barrel, providing a rich, full-bodied rum.

Lahat Kasama

I was thrilled when this brand reached out to me last year, Kasamarum is a 7 year blended rum from my home country, The Philippines. So naturally, when the distribution reached SC, I couldnāt wait to sample it (thanks to the kind folks at Kasama).
The rum itself is naturally sweet from sugar cane and figured it would be perfect in a spin on a Daiquiri that Iām calling āLAHAT KASAMAā which translates to āweāre all togetherā in Tagalog. This rendition is made with fresh calamansi juice which is near and dear to my heart (since I am Filipino and all). If you havenāt had calamansi, I describe it as a cross between a bitter orange, lemon and yuzu - its amazing in cocktail and wish it was more mainstream. Cheers yāall.

Chartreuse Tiā Punch

Itās the national cocktail of Martinique and Guadeloupe. āTiā is an abbreviation for āpetiteā (aka small) - so the cocktail name translates to āsmall punchā. Itās all built in the glass and as easy to drink as it is to make. Today weāre making a spin on it by adding light herbal elements via āVĆ©gĆ©tal de la Grande Chartreuseā aka āthe elixirā - its the purest form of the original Chartreuse out there (and actually readily available).

We created a recipe thats perfect not just for #halloween2022 but the rest of the holiday season as well. Using QMixers delicious and well-balanced ginger beer along with some black rum, this riff on a classic has a secret weapon in the homemade pumpkin spice tincture (recipe below). The cinnamon and fire bring just another complex element to this cocktail but it is entirely optional. Cheers yāall!
