Near & Dear (Batched Recipe)
Here’s your new favorite “Freezer Door” cocktail.
Just wanted a quick second to feature my dude Joey Goetz of lastsaintchs. He’s doing us a favor by showing us how to make a batch of SIX bottles of liquid gold - aka a chocolate + coconut-fat washed Negroni. My god, this was so good.
“Coconut and Chocolate visit a classic Negroni in an updated take on everyone’s favorite gin cocktail.
We build our standard house negroni, add Cacao Nibs and Coconut Oil to fat wash and infuse the entire cocktail. Freeze it and then strain everything off. It give you a classic negroni backbone but with wonderful notes of coconut and chocolate to compliment.”
Cheers y’all!
The Smoky OG Bramble
🎃Trick or Treat! The full moon is out tonight so I’m whipping up something spooky for #Halloween 👻
The Tiki Bramble
“Ohhh we’re halfway there...”
If you didn’t at least sing the last part in your head, you’re not human. Anyways, here’s a new mid-week recipe for y’all to celebrate. Cheers y’all!
Watermelon High Sea
It’s watermelon szn and #WorldBeeDay? Let’s cook 🐝🍯🍉
This recipe combines a couple of my favorite things: gin, honey, basil, watermelon with an addition of a bitter aperitif in Select and a pinch of smoked sea salt just to bring out more of the fruity flavors in this cocktail. Of course this is going to be served over crushed ice which will let the drink evolve a bit as you drink it.
Cheers y’all.
The Yuletide Bramble
A bramble to match the season? Yes please.
We created a festive take on a classic bramble. Try this one for your next holiday party! Cheers y’all!

Remember the Alimony
Introducing a new series every week: Handcraft After Dark.
In this series, I’ll be creating some of my favorite night caps and maybe even some recipes that YOU recommend. Here’s the catch: they always have to be stirred and must contain 4 or less ingredients (not including the garnish).
This video series will be no-frills, quick, easy, and straightforward recipes that you can make in less than 5 minutes. You in? Have a favorite recipe that fits the description above? Let me know in the comments section.
This recipe was created by Dan Greenbaum in 2012 at the now-closed New York City cocktail bar The Beagle. Thanks to robertsimonson for including it in his book which introduced me to this recipe.
Cheers and goodnight.
Elder Lavender Sour
Let’s get back to it…
Together with empress1908gin, we’ve created a refreshing and airy sour with flavors of elderflower and lavender. Cheers y’all!
The Elderflower Gimlet
I guess it's been a while since I posted one of these but here it is:
20th Century
Let’s make a cocktail I didn’t think I’d like.
I always thought the lemon and chocolate sounded awful together but this was actually perfectly balanced and I was pleasantly surprised at how it turned out. Is it my new favorite cocktail? No, but will I make it again? Absolutely.
Chocolate Clover Club
Well, it wouldn’t be a Valentine’s Day cocktail if it wasn’t pink, right?
This cocktail makes 2 servings for the occasion. OH, and if you like these glasses or are just in need of some new bar or glassware, head over to the link in my bio or viski.com and use code ‘HOLYCITY15’ FOR 15% off your purchase!
Cheers y’all.
Coconut Bianco Negroni
This might be the most meta thing I’ve ever done…
🥥 Remember when we aged that rum Negroni in a coconut? Well, I hope y’all didn’t throw away that coconut meat soaked with the Negroni because it’s packed with flavor. So now that we’ve aged a Negroni in that coconut, we’re going to age the coconut in a Bianco Negroni - stay tuned for part 2!
The Clover Club
Is this the official cocktail of #ValentinesDay? ❤️🔥
I love me a good classic cocktail and also love that this one is making a resurgence considering the recipe dates back to the late 1800s. All the flavors here play so well together, the brightness of the lemon, fruitiness of the raspberries and texture of the egg white is rounded out by the ever classic fordsgin. If you haven’t made it before, tonight seems like a great night to do so. Oh and maybe you should make two 😘
Brulee Apple Cider Collins
This recipe is sure to get you in a festive mood this season.
I created a festive take on a traditional Collins. This one combines the flavors of maple, apples, caramel and cinnamon into a cup of cheer you’ll be sure to enjoy this season. Cheers y’all!
Martini Highball
Its like a highball…but a martini. Listen, I’m a big martini fan - but they are hardly sessionable. This recipe is a bit lighter but well balanced. Give it a try.
Cheers y’all.
The Cucumber Basil Aviation
Picked up these unique martini glasses today and thought I should do a couple experiments… you know, for science.
Pink Linen
Who needs a white linen when you can make it pink?
Together with my friends over at empress1908gin, we put together a spin on a traditional White Linen with Empress Elderflower Rose Gin. Elderflower and cucumber have always been a match made in heaven and the addition in this cocktail is no exception. Hope y’all enjoy this one!
Blood Orange G&T
What’s better than a mimosa on Saturday morning? A bitter orange gin and tonic with a side of college football.
